OUI is the French word for yes. In a nursery rhyme, your baby toe squeals, wee-wee-wee…all the way home. However, in this article I’m going to talk about the computerized game by Nintendo called, Wii. Note: All three of these spellings are pronounced, ‘we’.
Honestly, I’m not much into computer games. I don’t own an X-box, I’ve never played Dungeons and Dragons, nor have I attempted to play solitaire on my computer. Nevertheless, I’ve found that the Wii fit computerized game that I hook up to my television, is full of delightful humor. The Wii fit comes with 40 different activities on a single CD, two remote controls, and a low square balance board to stand on.
My favorite part of the system is the Mini Mii (pronounced mini me) because it allows one to design a virtual person that reflects your image. It’s a hoot because, my Mii Pam has a nice tan, short spiky blond hair, blue eyes with darling oblong glasses, and a great big toothy smile. Oh yeah, and I picked out a sassy hot pink top to wear. Although, once I’m weighed, my virtual self got wide hips and my ‘sugar-bowl’ showed in-between the gap of my tee shirt and the top of my pants. Yes, the virtual truth of my image was a bit of a downer, but after a few minutes, I decided that I looked pretty darn cute!
The different activities you play are enjoyable yet they are good for you. My equilibrium has improved by downhill skiing, snowboarding and playing the soccer games. I can stretch with a virtual yoga trainer who will tell me when my posture is correct. Although this is an exercise type of program so, the Wii fit game will ‘get on your case’ when you skip too many days of exercise and it may fuss at you for eating late night snacks. Even so, it will not allow you to lose weight too fast. (Sheesh…like that has ever been an issue for me.)
When it was my birthday, my Mii Pam wore a party hat and there was confetti floating through the air. When I do a fantastic job on the hula-hoop game, my little replica throws her arms into the air and swings her plump hips around and around with glee. On the other hand, I fall down laughing when I do a rotten job on a game because I watch the Mii Pam hunch her shoulders forward, hang and shake her head in disgust, and then I watch myself (Mii Pam) fall down on my knees and start pounding the ground with my fist. It is off the charts nutty and I enjoy it to no end.
Bottom line, I’ve been playing Wii fit for 68 days. I see improvements in my own body because, I stand straighter, my balance is better and I’ve lost fifteen pounds. Where else can you play a video game and be so distracted that you don’t mind the actual exercise?
I will warn you, the set-up is not cheap; however, Wii fit is the only game I look forward to doing and I can honestly say I laughed my hinnie off!~Pamela Vanden Bos~ Visit my website http://pvbos.com

At least Mom's get a chance to feel that they have someone waiting for their comments because the children usually take their moms for granted .
